Part 2: Candy, Chocolate Syrup, and Locks!

So, the other day I decided I wanted to buy a lock for Gunnars room. In my last post I gave you some ideas in why I wanted one!!LOL So, I buy it and decide right before bedtime I would stick up there with out any problem. Real quick like! So I get the drill out and my drill bit to put in it and I drill some holes where they need to be and then I put the screw in the screws securing the lock in place. And then I go to lock it and find out that I put it in upside down. So, I unscrew the screws and put it on right. And then my Mom calls and is talking to me and I decide to try it out and Gunnar is right there with this look on his face like I got something new!!(Little did he know he was going to hate it) So I put the chain in the slot and open the door to see how far the door would actually open up. Gunnar could walk through it without even batting an eye. So, I take the one part off and set it down on the table and mark my holes again and drill. And I am still on the phone with my mom and then finally get off, so I go to grab the lock and it is GONE!!! So, I had to search the entire house at least two times before I found it in his bedroom! It would be in the most logical place, because he didn't leave my sight!LOL So, I finally got it all hooked up and it is now ready to be used!! Yay!! What I thought would be a 5 minute job only took an hour and a half! I would love to hear your stories or ideas on children sneaking out of bed to do naughty things!?!? Hope to hear from you!

Candy, Chocolate Syrup, and Locks!

Ok so I have had a hard time teaching my son to stay in bed now that he has a big boys bed!!! A very, very, very hard time! So, I usually wake up to him coming in and hoping in to bed with me and then I turn on the T.V. in my room and he lets me begin to wake up, but lately it has been a "Oh Shit!" kind of waking up. I know, pouty mouth, but I don't know how to portray the emotion just right without it! It started with waking up to him finding candy on the table in the kitchen all night long!! And of course he took a nice long nap while mommy had to work the next day too! Then I started to think hard about that and put a child gate on his door. Well, my little monkey is uncontainable!!LOL So, again I start waking up every morning to him in the sink playing with the hose and faucets!! Fun!!! And the other morning I wake up to him opening and shutting the fridge door. So I go running out to the kitchen to see him sitting right by the fridge, sucking on the no mess top to a chocolate syrup bottle!! Picture this, he always waits for mommy to at least wake up and have her first cup of coffee. Not that morning!! The next morning I hear and beeping noise and crashing noises. He is on a chair playing with the buttons on the clock on the stove. What I didn't realize was that he managed to change the time on the clock and I was late to work that day! I have tried almost anything and everything at this point. I just couldn't get him to stay in bed. At least everything is pretty much out of reach that could hurt him so I thought. So, I thought what can I do! I guess I could get a long rope and tie him to the bed? So, someone told me to put a lock on the door, well I don't like the thought of the door being closed so I came up with a chain lock for the door!! Yay!! He has to stay in his room until I get him now!! Just like the crib until he learned to crawl out of it!! Now the story on getting the stupid lock on the door is quite funny, but I will have to tell you that in my next entry, because it is 1:30am and Gunnar gets up at 6am. So I will talk to you later!!

Updates!

Well, I have been really busy lately!! I met a wonderful guy, and he took me skiing for the first time! I loved it, even though I spent most of the time on my butt! I plan on going bird hunting with him pretty soon!! And Gunnar and him get along!! My spoiled little monster has not been sleeping very well due to more teeth!! I think I am done with the whole teeth thing!!LOL And I am still trying to potty train(pathetic I know). But one fun thing I did for New Years was I got to pick a theme and then had the toasting cocktail for midnight!!! So with that being such a success I decided that I would create and kind of host the festivities for Valentines!! But I thought maybe I would get some of my fellow bloggers ideas for the drink of the night!! My theme is a quote I found online. "Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired" by Louis Ginsberg. So, my ideas for you to choose from are:

Nicknames

This may come as a surprise but in high school I dated a really tall guy (6'5", 300lbs to be precise). Everyone thought it was really funny considering my size. I was only 5'1"(and I don't forget that one inch!!) and I only weighed 90lbs. I loved my government teacher and we would walk by and say hi every morning. At the time it was his govt teacher. And then the next year I had him. One morning the teacher asked me if we were still dating since he had graduated and kind of questioned why I would want to date such a big guy. And at the end of the conversation he said that we looked like Yogi and Booboo. And that is how I got the nickname Booboo.

A good cook is not necessarily a good woman with an even temper. some allowance should be made for artistic temperament.

Insecurities!

I know I have taken way to much time to write a new blog! I have missed it alot!! I have been really busy with work and just haven't found the time to sit here and write on my site! But I have met someone! He seems absolutely perfect! He is constantly doing something, busy busy busy. I like that! With Gunnar I had to change my ways and make routines and Kelly seems to have that and still keep busy! I like our friendship alot and maybe someday it could go further. But my insecurities are probably sticking out like a sore thumb! Men have not been the nicest people to me up here and it makes me want to hold everyone at arms length. But there is something kind about Kelly's eyes that makes me want to think we could have a really good friendship!!

I am so tired, but i cant sleep!
