You would think I would be Used to it!

It's funny since I separated from my ex husband I have dated a few guys and they all do the same thing. You would think I would get used to it! I don't understand why men can't be considerate enough to just tell you it's over rather than just lead you on. The bad thing is he promised no games. Shame on me I guess for thinking anything different could happen!

Foto Friday! Oh I mean Photo Friday!

My handsome little man has been around woman to much!! He looks in the mirror while I am doing my make-up and pretends to put some on too! Now he is wearing my shoes! But he looks so darn CUTE!!!
I decided to try out a sangria recipe!! I had never had it before and thought why not! And it looks so pretty too! Ignore me if you are looking for pretty! LOL!

Now I was looking for a recipe for my Valentines Party for the resturaunt I work for and those still sound so good! But, Doesn't this drink sound so good, look so good, and it can be drank by almost any of the food we are serving! The spin I put on it though, I put strawberries in it! Yum!!

Bad day into good night!

So, I have been having a hard time the last couple of days! But everything is ok now! I have come to terms with my insecurities and decided to say F@#$ them! I am letting go and I am just going to go with the flow for a while!! A friend in Cali is having a hard time and I think I might go out and visit and see if we can cheer each other up. But yesterday my sis, Dana, noticed I was having a hard time so we went to go see a movie!! Yay!! I miss going to movies like I did in cali!! I didn't go every week or anything, but it was so nice to have one close by when you got a wild hair up your a$$ to go see one! We ended up seeing "Did you hear about the Morgans?"! I really liked it!! It's about a couple that go into protection with a couple in wyoming! So, this morning I was reflecting on the movie and decided to look up where it was filmed. If you didn't know I now live in wyoming. Ugh! And it wasn't filmed anywhere close to wyoming!! It was filmed in texas! How disappointing!! But at least I liked the movie! Yay!

Top Five Things Going on in my Life!

I have been driven crazy by certain things the last few weeks so I thought I might share them with you if you are interested. Thought I could at least make myself laugh at all the crazy things happening.
5. Poop... It doesn't belong in training pants! But for some odd reason my son can not manage to tell me that he that he has to poop before the vein in his forehead starts popping out and he starts to grunt!
4. Late!! I was late for work this week. I don't know why but it is one of my pet peeves!! I am on time, if not early, always!!
3. Sleep...My little man isn't liking the idea of staying in bed! I know, he is still doing it!! At least there is a lock now!!
2. Tantrums...I don't get it. I do something or anything that makes him mad and he is on the ground kicking and screaming! It embarrasses me to no end!!
1. Chunks!!! I am sick and tired of chunks being blown!! (gross!) First it was Gunnar and this morning it was the dog! I am just waiting for the cat to chime in and then it should be my turn, right?
What is your opinion on these? Am I qualified to go to the nut house yet?LOL

My Pitch!

I like Mama Kat at Mama's losin it. And I recently saw that she had joined 31 days to a better blog at I thought it would be a good and fun thing for me to do also. So, my first assignment was to create and elevator pitch, one short and one long! A pitch that can be told in enough time to have a ride on the elevator. And not a naughty one either!! Need more time for a naughty one anyways! LOL (I crack myself up!) So, here are my pitches!
First the short one:
"Welcome to the spills and thrills of a Mommy/ Bartender!!"
Second, the long one:
"Do you need a drink idea? Or a different approach to dealing with a child that has just thown himself on the ground in a tantrum? I have a drink of the day, Ask Tarbender, and random events of a Mommy/ Bartender at Drinks and Diapers!"
So, what do you think? Does it sell my blog or should I add anything else?

Chunks, drinks and jokes!!

So, I woke up this morning to nothing... yeah not one sound or anything. Gunnar let me sleep in...Ok ready Awwww! At first it was actually, what is wrong something is terribly wrong! So I run in there and he is snoring away! Well, he is getting his two year molars and I thought ok they are affecting him. So, I call my Mom and tell her about him and then I start hearing this awful noise! So, I run in there and I had never seen a child project vomit across a room before!! I might be exagerating alittle, but it was still disturbing!! And usually I have a good strong stomach but for some reason today I could barely handle it! This continued until 12:30pm. The doctor said it was a flu and could not really do anything except give him a medicine that would stop the vomiting. But he was so sad today!! He would walk acouple of steps and then lay down on the floor with his legs curled up and then walk a couple more steps and do the same thing.
But on a happier note, I ended up getting a comment from my Mom over at and in one of my blogs I asked for some questions so she asked, "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" So, this recipe is for you mom!!
Woodchuck Wassail
2 quarts woodchuck cider
2 cups cranberry juice
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 orange studded with whole cloves
1 cup rum
Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and brew 4-5 hours before serving!!
And then I also looked up a non-alcoholic recipe for Karen at
Sunshine Splash
3 oz. O.J.
3 oz Pineapple Juice
2 oz Lemon Lime Soda
1 oz Sour mix
1/2 oz Grenadine
Stir all with ice in a parfait glass. Garnish with a pineapple slice! Yum Yum!!

Ask Miss Tarbender!

Ok, so I got two comments on my last blog asking to see if you had any questions. Yay!!! So, thank you so much JDaniel4'sMom and DivineMrsD!!! Now I didn't get questions but I might want to try something other than Rieslings wine for your dinner parties? Maybe... Maybe not? And don't get me wrong I love wine, but sometimes it is just fun to switch things up. Like when I go to a bar(it's very rare, especially since I work in one) I like to ask if the bartender has a special drink they like to make, instead of ordering my fav tequila sunrise.
Today I was today I got one of my usual emails from Better Homes and Gardens(I like all that stuff too!!) And the subject read things to do while you are stuck in the house during winter and of course I go there and manage to find myself in the drink recipe page. (maybe they know my stupid obsession for recipes or they are implying something, I don't know). But they did have a drink on there that sounded like it would be sweet and sophisticated like a Riesling wine is. It is called Twinkling Ginger Champagne!! Sounds absolutely enticing to me!! So, I hope you liked that little thought, Divine Mrs D!?! And thank you so much for the comment!!

I need your HELP!?!?

So, I thought it might be alittle fun to maybe answer some questions!! Kind of like a Dear John Kind of thing. Only it wouldn't be John. There just isn't anything between the legs to be a John. LOL! So I would like to hear from you alittle and give you alittle info at the same time! I was thinking maybe you might want to know some fun drinks or some drinks that go good with a certain meal? Or what kind of drinks to have at a get together or dinner party? Or even just random things that don't even have to deal with drinks? Like how did a blonde figure out how to work a computer enough to get a blog going!? What do you think of this idea? I would LOVE to hear from you!!!!

Part 2: Candy, Chocolate Syrup, and Locks!

So, the other day I decided I wanted to buy a lock for Gunnars room. In my last post I gave you some ideas in why I wanted one!!LOL So, I buy it and decide right before bedtime I would stick up there with out any problem. Real quick like! So I get the drill out and my drill bit to put in it and I drill some holes where they need to be and then I put the screw in the screws securing the lock in place. And then I go to lock it and find out that I put it in upside down. So, I unscrew the screws and put it on right. And then my Mom calls and is talking to me and I decide to try it out and Gunnar is right there with this look on his face like I got something new!!(Little did he know he was going to hate it) So I put the chain in the slot and open the door to see how far the door would actually open up. Gunnar could walk through it without even batting an eye. So, I take the one part off and set it down on the table and mark my holes again and drill. And I am still on the phone with my mom and then finally get off, so I go to grab the lock and it is GONE!!! So, I had to search the entire house at least two times before I found it in his bedroom! It would be in the most logical place, because he didn't leave my sight!LOL So, I finally got it all hooked up and it is now ready to be used!! Yay!! What I thought would be a 5 minute job only took an hour and a half! I would love to hear your stories or ideas on children sneaking out of bed to do naughty things!?!? Hope to hear from you!

Candy, Chocolate Syrup, and Locks!

Ok so I have had a hard time teaching my son to stay in bed now that he has a big boys bed!!! A very, very, very hard time! So, I usually wake up to him coming in and hoping in to bed with me and then I turn on the T.V. in my room and he lets me begin to wake up, but lately it has been a "Oh Shit!" kind of waking up. I know, pouty mouth, but I don't know how to portray the emotion just right without it! It started with waking up to him finding candy on the table in the kitchen all night long!! And of course he took a nice long nap while mommy had to work the next day too! Then I started to think hard about that and put a child gate on his door. Well, my little monkey is uncontainable!!LOL So, again I start waking up every morning to him in the sink playing with the hose and faucets!! Fun!!! And the other morning I wake up to him opening and shutting the fridge door. So I go running out to the kitchen to see him sitting right by the fridge, sucking on the no mess top to a chocolate syrup bottle!! Picture this, he always waits for mommy to at least wake up and have her first cup of coffee. Not that morning!! The next morning I hear and beeping noise and crashing noises. He is on a chair playing with the buttons on the clock on the stove. What I didn't realize was that he managed to change the time on the clock and I was late to work that day! I have tried almost anything and everything at this point. I just couldn't get him to stay in bed. At least everything is pretty much out of reach that could hurt him so I thought. So, I thought what can I do! I guess I could get a long rope and tie him to the bed? So, someone told me to put a lock on the door, well I don't like the thought of the door being closed so I came up with a chain lock for the door!! Yay!! He has to stay in his room until I get him now!! Just like the crib until he learned to crawl out of it!! Now the story on getting the stupid lock on the door is quite funny, but I will have to tell you that in my next entry, because it is 1:30am and Gunnar gets up at 6am. So I will talk to you later!!

Well, I have been really busy lately!! I met a wonderful guy, and he took me skiing for the first time! I loved it, even though I spent most of the time on my butt! I plan on going bird hunting with him pretty soon!! And Gunnar and him get along!! My spoiled little monster has not been sleeping very well due to more teeth!! I think I am done with the whole teeth thing!!LOL And I am still trying to potty train(pathetic I know). But one fun thing I did for New Years was I got to pick a theme and then had the toasting cocktail for midnight!!! So with that being such a success I decided that I would create and kind of host the festivities for Valentines!! But I thought maybe I would get some of my fellow bloggers ideas for the drink of the night!! My theme is a quote I found online. "Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired" by Louis Ginsberg. So, my ideas for you to choose from are:
1. Serendipity
2. Cassinova
3. Cosmo
4. Cupids Arrow #2
5. Sex on the bar (thought I would throw one in to make you laugh!)

And feel free to come up with your own, but these are actual drink names and if you come up with your own have some fun to create your own recipe with the name!!

This may come as a surprise but in high school I dated a really tall guy (6'5", 300lbs to be precise). Everyone thought it was really funny considering my size. I was only 5'1"(and I don't forget that one inch!!) and I only weighed 90lbs. I loved my government teacher and we would walk by and say hi every morning. At the time it was his govt teacher. And then the next year I had him. One morning the teacher asked me if we were still dating since he had graduated and kind of questioned why I would want to date such a big guy. And at the end of the conversation he said that we looked like Yogi and Booboo. And that is how I got the nickname Booboo.
